The inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir Ayodhya is set on January 22, 2024. The ritual process of the ceremony will start from 16 January and Ram Lallaโs consecration (Pran Pratista) will take place on 22 January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ram Mandir on 22 January. Ram Mandir is set in Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya.
So, the opening date of Ram Mandir Ayodhya is 22 January 2024.
Ahead of the ceremony Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has opened for booking Arti passes in both online and offline mode.
The inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir Ayodhya will take place for seven days.
The ritual process of the ceremony will start from 16 January. The seven days ritual schedule are:
- January 16, 2024: In this day the Atonement (prayaschitta) will take place by the host appointed by the temple trust. Dashavid bath will took place on the bank of river Saryu, Vishnu worship and Godan.
- January 17, 2024: In this day Procession will visit Ayodhya with the idol of Ram Lala. The devotees will reach the temple by carrying Saryu water in Managal Kalash.
- January 18, 2024: In this day formal rituals will start with Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Vastu Puja, Brahmin Varan etc.
- 19 January, 2024: In this day Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana and Havan will take place.
- January 20, 2024: The Sanctum Sanctorum of the temple will wash with the holy water in this day. After washing there will be Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas in the temple.
- January 21, 2024: In this day Shayadhivas will be done after a divine bath with 125 urns.
- January 22, 2024: In this day in morning the deity of the Ram Lalla will consecrate (Pran Pratistha) in Mrigashira Nakshatra in the afternoon.
In Ram Mandir Ayodhya Aarti will perform.
Ahead Ram Mandir will inaugurate there will perform Aarti. For Aarti the devotee can book pass. The pass are available in both way online and offline. The booking for the Aarti pass has begin. Three type of Aarti will be perform during the entire day. Devotee can choose any one for booking passes.
Aarti timings are:
- Shringar Aarti at 6:30 am.
- Bhog Aarti at 12 noon.
- Sandhya Aarti at 7:30 pm.
Attendance at the aarti is strictly limited to pass holders only. Dhruvesh Mishra, the manager in charge of the ‘Aarti pass’ section, emphasized that, due to security concerns, each aarti currently permits a maximum of thirty individuals to attend.
To secure an online booking for an ‘Aarti pass,’ follow these steps:

- Log in using OTP authentication.
- Navigate to the ‘Aarti’ section on the homepage.
- Choose the desired date and type of aarti you intend to attend.
- Provide the necessary details, including the devotee’s name, address, photo, mobile number, etc.
- Upon your temple visit, collect the passes from the designated counter and proceed to participate in the ‘aarti.
Document needed for booking the Aarti passes
The Aarti pass section manager Dhruvesh Mishra said, โTo generate the aarti pass, only four documents are acceptable: Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, and passport. Devotees are only required to carry one of these documents, which they can present to the official upon receiving their aarti passes.โ

- The Physical copy of the ID proof declared at the time of Aarti Booking is mandatory for entry into the Temple on Aarti Date.

About Ram Mandir Ayodhya
The Larsen & Toubro group is building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The budget of Ram Mandir Ayodhya is stands to cost around Rs 18,000 crore. The design of the temple is based on Hindu traditions, and special bricks with ‘Jai Shree Ram’ inscriptions are being used.

Worlds largest Agarbatti for Aodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration
In preparation for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, devotees from across India have undertaken remarkable efforts to present unique and grand offerings to Lord Ram. Viha Bharwad, a farmer from Vadodara, Gujarat, stands out for crafting a colossal 108-foot agarbatti, symbolizing grandeur and devotion. The immense incense stick, made with a combination of natural materials, weighs 3,600 kilograms and is set to burn for over 45 days.
Viha Bharwad, aged 54, shared his journey of crafting the colossal agarbatti for the Ram Mandir. He used Gir cow dung, Gir cow ghee, Deodar tree wood, guggul, coconut shells, herbs, barley, and other materials in its creation. The entire process took him six months of dedicated effort. The agarbatti, costing over Rs 5 lakh, reflects Bharwad’s deep devotion. As he used personal funds, donations, and even took a loan to ensure its completion.
Devotee’s Sacrifice: Journey from Vadodara to Ayodhya Ram Mandir
Bharwad, accompanied by 25 devotees, embarked on a journey from Vadodara to Ayodhya on January 1, 2024. The group expected to reach Ayodhya by January 18, just in time for the consecration ceremony. This monumental offering is a testament to the lengths devotees are willing to go to express their love and reverence for Lord Ram.
Bamboo Contribution by Assam for Ram Mandir Ayodhya Inauguration
Locals and members of the All Assam Divyanga Versatile Association of Kamrup district have sent 7,000 bamboo pieces from Assam to Ayodhya. These bamboo pieces, collected from the Lampi area near Boko, signify the diverse contributions from different regions of India to the grand inauguration ceremony. The bamboo, a vital element, will play a role in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple.
Arjun Chetry, a member of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, expressed the significance of the moment, stating that they take pride in contributing bamboo that will play a role in the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
“We received instructions to gather bamboo, and we successfully collected bamboo pieces from the Lampi area. These bamboo pieces destined for Ayodhya, and a truck laden with bamboo will cover a distance of 1250 km to reach its destination. This endeavor fills us with a sense of pride,” expressed Chetry.

Arvindbhai Mangalbhai Patel, a farmer from Vadodara, Gujarat, has crafted a giant lamp weighing 1100 kg for the Ram Temple inauguration. Made of brass and copper, the 9.25 feet tall lamp can hold 851 kg of ghee. Crafted from Panchadhatu, an amalgamation of five metals, the lamp reflects months of dedication and several attempts to perfect its design. Patel’s offering, dispatched to Ayodhya by road, symbolizes his deep love and respect for Lord Ram.
Padyatra of Reverence: Golden Padukas from Hyderabad
Challa Srinivas Sastry from Hyderabad, Telangana, embarked on a padyatra (foot pilgrimage) to deliver a pair of golden padukas (sandals) to the Ram Temple. Weighing 9 kg and worth Rs 65 lakh, these padukas symbolize reverence and service to Lord Ram. Sastry, who started his journey on August 5, 2020, has covered 8000 km, passing through 11 states and 108 cities, collecting donations and blessings along the way. His remarkable journey will conclude on January 21, 2024, a day before the temple’s inauguration.
Gifts from Janakpur, Nepal for Ram Mandir Ayodhya
Over 3000 gifts have arrived from Janakpur, Nepal, the birthplace of Sita, consort of Lord Ram. These offerings, including money, clothes, fruit, gold, silver, and sweets, brought by 500 devotees. 300 metric tonnes of aromatic rice offers from Chhattisgarh for prasad
On Saturday, a convoy of 11 trucks carrying 300 metric tonnes of aromatic rice from Chhattisgarh set out for the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir scheduled for January 22. The ceremonial send-off took place at the Shri Ram Mandir on VIP Road in Raipur. Where the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off the trucks by waving a saffron flag.
