On 4 May an unattended bag was found at Connaught N Block at afternoon in Delhi. This news sparks bomb scare which sends panic among the residents of Delhi.
As per reports by the media the area was cordoned off and police and bomb disposal squad teams present at the spot.
According to ANI the unattended bag was checked nothing suspicious things has been recovered. Further investigation is going on.
Yesterday, the Delhi Police, along with the National Security Guard (NSG), practiced security exercises in different parts of the national capital. The mock drills took place at the IGI airport, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, and DPS RK Puram late Friday and early Saturday.
Earlier on May 1, more than 50 school received fake bomb threats via mail.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has assured that thereโs no cause for alarm, as the bomb threats seem to be nothing more than hoax calls. Delhi Police and security agencies are diligently following established protocols, as stated by the ministry.
After conducting comprehensive checks of all affected schools as per protocol, Delhi Police confirmed that no suspicious items discovered. โIt appears that these calls are indeed hoaxes. We urge the public to remain calm and uphold peace,โ stated the police.

During the drill, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security, was alert about a simulated terror attack. Additionally, other agencies such as the fire department and Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) participated in the exercise, which lasted for about half an hour, according to an officer.
