Dhemaji Police arrested three individual in connection with the uploading ADRE Grade III 2024 question paper and went viral in social media on Monday.
Police on September 16 arrested a photographer of Mangal Singh Basumutary, engaged by SEBA at the centre. The other two are Manohar Narzary, an invigilator at Upendra National Academy Examination Centre; and Dwijen Boro, a candidate implicated in the scandal.
The ADRE 2024 question paper which leaked and gone viral identified as by booklet number 1035034. This paper is appeared on social media at 4:15 PM on September. But the photo of the question paper was click 2:17 PM on September 15, as the image was timestamped after exam ended.
Further investigation is going on. Sources have revealed that 10 additional individuals are being held for questioning and may face arrest by this evening, according to Pratidin.

Earlier, DGP GP Singh through social media, “Dhemaji Police has Cracked the case, it has been revealed that the paper was photographed by one Mangal Singh Basumutary, one of the photographers engaged by SEBA at the centre. The photography was done after examination was over at 1.30 PM at the examination centre. He has been detained and has confessed the photography of the paper after the examination was over.”
He also added, “He also circulated the paper after clicking the pictures to a few individuals who are being identified for further action. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the criminal conspiracy behind this act to defame the examination process.”
