Raayan Movie Review: Today, July 26 the Raayan movie has released in theater. The film sets milestone as it is the 50th film of Dhanush as an actor. The director of the film is Dhanush himself as well as writer. This is film is the second film as a director after Pa Paandi in 2017.
Raayan Plot
The movie begins in the past where four siblings – three brothers and their newborn sister – fleeing their village and ending up in the city. They are taken in by Sekar (Selvaraghavan), a handyman at a vegetable market. Raayan (Dhanush), is the eldest sibling in a family with two brothers, Manickam (Kalidas Jayaram) and Muthu (Sundeep Kishan), and a sister, Durga (Dushara Vijayan). After fleeing from the village Raayan takes on the responsibility of looking after them as their parents vanish for two days.
They live in a small town in Tamil Nadu, which is ruled by two Gangsters, Sekar (SJ Suryah) and Saravanan.
The plot then jump to present day as the youngest, Manickam, is a righteous college student. Muthu the middle brother, is hot-headed and impulsive. The eldest, Raayan is responsible and acts like a father figure. Their bond with their sister Durga (Dushara Vijayan) keeps them together. Raayan believes that only seeing her married with a child will make them a complete family.
As Raayan tries to arrange Durga’s marriage, he gets caught in a power struggle between two gangsters, Sethu (SJ Suryah) and Durai (Saravanan), who have a history of conflict and control the area. What happens next forms the rest of the story. You need to see the film.
