Japan First Private Sector Rocket Kairos explode shortly after takeoff

On 13 March 2024, Wednesday, Japan First Private sector developed Kairos rocket was exploded shortly after takeoff. The incident captured during the live stream video, which showed the rocket blast. The incident took place in Wakayama Prefecture in central Japan.

This incident took place at around 11:00 am according to the local time of Japan. After the blast a huge plum of smoke engulfed. However, there is no reports of casualties.

This blast took after a few second of takeoff in the middle of the air. This is the failed mission for them. As the launch failed to go to it destination.

If the launched would become successful then it would become Japanโ€™s first private sector space mission.

The Name of the Private Sector of Japan who produced the Kairos Rocket is Tokyo based start-up Space One. Space One is founded in the year of 2018. This Space One established by a team of Japanese tech businesses, including Canon Electronics, IHI Aerospace, construction firm Shimizu and the government-owned Development Bank of Japan.

Space One in a statement said that self-destruct command was issued right after it took off which leads to explosion of the Kairos rocket. After this rocket blew up, the value of Canon Electronics Inc’s shares fell by 13%, reaching their lowest point in 13 years. The rocket was carried a satellite for the government, according to Space One.
