Cachar Police on 5 September, 2024 seized a huge amount of Yaba Tablet in the area of Cachar District of Assam and arrested an individual in connection to it.
Yesterday, Cachar police carried out an operation in the area of Hawaithang, Lailapur of Cachar district. In the area they intercepted a vehicle which was coming towards from neighbouring state. After searching the vehicle police recovered 10,000 yaba tablet which market value will be Rs.3 Crore.
Police arrest a person in connection of it. This operation carried out to make Assam free from drugs.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “Towards a Drugs Free Assam! In an operation carried out by @cacharpolice, a person coming from a neighbouring State in a vehicle was intercepted at Hawaithang, Lailapur. Upon thorough search, 10,000 YABA tablets worth ₹3cr was recovered from his possession. Good job @assampolice.”
