In a devastating road accident, a youth from Cachar, Assam on May 28 (Wednesday) morning died and another youth struggling for life in Mangalore, Karnataka.
Both Youth was from Sonai, Cachar, Assam and one was driver and another one was assistant driver of a truck. According to reports, the deceased was driving the truck.
The accident was occurred when the goods laden truck went out of control and crashed. The impact of the accident was so serving that the truck immediately caught fire and completely mangled. As per source, the accident took place at round 11 am.
After receiving information about the accident the emergency team immediately rushed to the scene and rescued both the driver and co-driver from the burning truck and rushed to hospital. The driver was found dead and later sent for post-mortem examination.
The deceased youth identified as Afjal Hussain Laskar (27), a residents of Pakka Masjid area of Mohanpur Part 7, under Sonai. The injured youth identified as Nurul Hasan Laskar from Kachudaram Part 2, who is undergoing treatment in local hospital and is in critical condition.
Locals of the area, confirmed that both victims were working as driver for several years in Mangalore, Karnataka.
