Based on specific intelligence from Military Intelligence (Kolkata), the Indian Army and Roing Police launched a joint operation in Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The operation was carried out near the Bishmak Nagar area, where security forces recovered ten live 7.62 mm bullets from two individuals suspected to be overground workers (OGWs). The suspects, identified as Deepaak Deori, a resident of Bhabanigarh in Assam’s Tinsukia district, and his associate, Olik Deori.

Authorities suspect that the two may have ties to insurgent networks operating along the Arunachal-Assam border. Both arrested individual took into custody for further interrogation to determine their possible involvement in illegal arms activities.
Following this, security forces have increased surveillance in the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to stop the movement of illegal weapons and insurgents.
