Yodha Movie Review: Yodha Movie starring by Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna has released today 15 March. The film directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha which story revolves around a commando named Arun Katyal who tasked with mission of rescuing a hijacked Air India flight.

About the Yodha

This movie lasts for 133 minutes and reminds you of American action movies about terrorism, featuring a cool hero, a nation at risk, and lots of action scenes. Directors Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha focus on action and keep the emotions light and the story entertaining. The main character, Arun (played by Malhotra), is part of an elite commando group similar to the Navy SEALs. He known for taking big risks, which eventually get him into a situation that even his wife Priyamvada (played by Raashii Khanna), a high-ranking official, can’t help him out of.

A chance for Arun to fix his mistakes comes during a plane hijacking that coincides with a critical peace meeting between India and Pakistan. On the plane, Arun gets help from Laila (played by Disha Patani), a flight attendant, and Tanya (played by Kritika Bharadwaj), a rookie pilot. But it’s not certain if the hijacking is real, or if Arun’s actions are completely right.

The plot is straightforward and a bit cheesy, with some national pride thrown in. Despite this, the script has some twists and lots of exciting action scenes and shootouts that help overlook its simpler aspects.

The movie is well-made, especially the scenes on the plane, and Malhotra performs his role effortlessly. His character, Arun, is mostly stoic, with only Kritika Bharadwaj making a notable impression.

Raashii Khanna finds it hard to stand out. The film also features Tanuj Virwani as Khan, Arun’s old friend from the army, who ends up being not very helpful from a control room while Arun navigates through the chaos on the plane.
