A 32 years old woman dead body found stuffed in Suitcase at home in Bengaluru on Thursday. The accused husband arrested from Mumbai, who allegedly killed his wife and stuffed in bag.
The victim identified Gauri Anil Sambrekar is a graduate of mass media and actively searching for job. The accused identified as Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, who worked as a project manager in a software company.
According to police, Rakesh arrested near Pune during attempt to escape after the crime. Police said, he is being brought back to Bengaluru.
During investigation its has found that the crime was discovered on Thursday evening. Police said, at around 5:30 pm, Rakesh called the Landlord and confessed about the crime. He stated he kills his wife precious night before leaving Bengaluru. He asked the landlord to call the police about the murder and his wife’s parents so they could conduct her last rites.
Saraf Fathima, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast), said, “At around 5:30 pm, we received a call at the control room about a suspected hanging case. When the Hulimavu police reached the house, they found the door locked. After gaining entry, they found a suitcase in the bathroom.”
Forensic and crime teams deployed at the crime scene.
The Forensic team opened the suitcase and discovered the dead body, said the police officer.
She stated that, “The body of the woman is intact and not in pieces (as is usually the case with suitcase murders) — but there are severe injury marks.”
The team also analysis the crime scene, and collected prints and other evidence before the body was for autopsy procedure.
The dead body sent for postmortem.
Police said that after receiving the post mortem report they will know the extent and nature of the injuries.
The couple has married two years ago and moved to the third floor of the rented house a month ago.
