Two robbers arrested by the police who was involved in June 12 robbery incident that took placed in Tekri, Pengri of Tinsukia district.
According to reports, the robbers targeted three men who was on a way to purchase buffalo. The men were threatened by the robbers with handmade guns and sharp weapons. They looted 1,70,000 cash before they fled of the scene.
To caught the robbers police launched an operation in the area. The arrested robbers identified as Ranjan Baruah age 35 and Bitupan Dahotia age 29. Both are residents of Tekeri Raidang Pathar village, Tinsukia district.
During the operation police recovered on hand made gun which is believed to use in robbery with other sharp weapons. Cash of 39,000 rupees also recovered from them.
Further investigation is going on.
