Silchar Bus Accident: A tragic bus accident took place in Silchar-Guwahati National Highway 6 in the Digorkhal area of Katigorah, Cachar on June 6, early morning. The incident took place at around 5 am. In this accident 13 people injured.
A night bus which was coming from Guwahati has collided head on with a truck caused the accident. The accident has took place in front of Sharma Hotel in Digorkhal.
According to some reports, a night bus operated by Arhan travels was coming from Guwahati to Silchar. On the way a vehicle parked illegally beside the road while attempting to overtake the bus lost control and collided with a speeding truck which coming towards Guwahati. The number of the truck is AS 25 BC 4737.

Both the vehicle was damaged in front of the side after accident. The driver of truck as well as bus, along with 13 passengers sustained injured. They immediately rushed to the Kalain Hospital for treatment. Among the injured people the two driver and four passenger transferred to Silchar Medical College & Hospital for better treatment as they injured badly.
A Passenger of bus said, “In the bus there were more than 25 passengers. I was one of them and sitting alongside the driver and the handyman. I was almost asleep but suddenly there was crash and I hurt my face bumping into the dashboard. The driver’s side of the bus damaged severely and the driver was injured badly. All the injured people have rushed to the hospital.”
