A tiger has caused a panic situation in Jengani village, located in Juria area of Nagaon district, Assam. On July 2, tiger attack two people in Jengani village, located in Juria area of Nagaon who was working on the paddy field. This two people injured critically and immediately taken to Hospital for treatment.
The injured peoples identified as Abdul Aziz and Akhtar Ali. The health condition of Aktar Ali stated to be critical.
Locals said that the tiger has been roaming for a long time which caused fear in the area.
It is believed that the tiger which was roaming have moved from nearby Laokkhowa and Burhachapori Wildlife Sanctuary, possibly in search of food due to floods in the area. The incidents has raised concerns among local residents.
The local officials have been closely monitoring the situation. They also working to ensure the villagers’ safety and prevent further wildlife encounters. The ongoing flood has made the situation that the wildlife came into human area.
Local administration and wildlife officials are coordinating their effort to track the tiger an reduce the threats. They also patrolling the area for safety of the people and manage displaced wildlife during the flood crisis.
