A violent attack took place on Monday, in the Katmani area of Karimganj, where six people injured, including a woman.
The injured people are under treatment at Makunda Christian Hospital, Karimganj due to critical condition one of the injured people were transferred to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).
According to reports, the incident erupt over an alleged of goat theft. On Friday, three goat of Alim Uddin had been stolen. They heard by the locals that the locals had seen on Sunday three goat were taken by Shamshuddin via. Auto. So, Alim Uddin has logged a complaint in the local mosque committee.
However, tension escalated on Monday, when Alim Uddin was at his Nephew Nizam’s shop. Shamshuddin arrived at the shop with several others and launched an attack on Alim Uddin using rods. When Alim Uddin’s family arrived after hearing the incident, Shamshuddin’s group also attacked them and damaged Nizam’s shop.
Salim Uddin has logged an FIR against 10 people in the police station.
Local Police arrived at the scene and stop the attack. They launched an investigation.
