Silchar police arrested three individual in theft and robbery case from across various area of the city. Police recovered gold ornaments and two two-wheelers from the arrested people.
On Friday night, at around 1:30 am, acting on tip-off Silchar police launched an operation in the Bhuiya Galli area of Janiganj. From the area police managed to arrest three individuals, identified as Sabbir Uddin Laskar, Shipu Majumdar, and Sharukh Uddin Majumdar.
From the arrested people police managed to recovered two gold chains and a pair of gold earrings. Police also seized a motorcycle and a scooter, which are used in Robbery.
The estimate value of the robbery items is around ₹2.5 lakh.
After continuous interrogation on Saturday, the accused were presented in court. Further investigation is going on.
