A Russian passenger plane carrying 46 people on board went missing in Amur region after air traffic control lost the signals on Thursday.
As per Tass Russian news agency citing source, “An An-24 operated by Angara Airlines failed to make contact at a designated checkpoint a few kilometers from Tynda Airport.”
The plane was carrying 40 passenger, including two children and six crew members.
This missing Russian Plane, operated by Siberia-based airline called Angara airlines. It was reportedly was on the way to Tyanda, located in the Amur region near China border, when lost the communication. According to SHOT, the aircraft was just a few kilometers away from Tynda when contact was lost.
Vasily Orlov, the regional governor, said initial reports indicated that 43 people were on board, including five children and six crew members.
“All necessary resources have been deployed to locate the aircraft,” he shared on Telegram.
However, the emergencies ministry gave a slightly different number, saying around 40 people were believed to be on the flight.
A major search-and-rescue operation is currently underway with Helicopter and ground team.
