A rescue helicopter located the burning fuselage of a Russian passenger plane.
“According to the director of Tynda Airport, the plane caught fire upon impact, and a Mi-8 helicopter crew flying over the area reported no signs of survivors,” the statement says cited in Tass Russian news agency.
Emergency officials reported that rescuers have found the burning wreckage of the missing crashed Russian passenger plane on a mountainside, roughly 16 kilometres (10 miles) from Tynda. The aircraft had vanished from radar while approaching Tynda, a town located in Russia’s Amur region near the border with China.
According to Vasily Orlov, the regional governor, said initial reports indicated that 43 people were on board, including five children and six crew members.
“All necessary resources have been deployed to locate the aircraft,” Vasily Orlov shared on Telegram.
