A Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) Jawan, Sanju Chauhan allegedly committed suicide with his own service revolver at Silchar Railway Station, Assam on Monday night.
According to information, last night Ranuj Chauhan was on sentry duty in entrance of office of NF Railway Deputy Chief Engineer (Construction) of the N.F. Railway Civision for Jiribam, stationed in the Silchar Railway colony, Tarapur.
The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Monday, while on duty, suddenly Sanju Chauhan fired a round at his head head with his service revolver.
Immediately, after Sanu Chauhan shoot, he was taken to Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Despite immediate medical treatment, he died to his injuries at the hospital.
According to sources, Sanju Chauhan was 40 years old and a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He had recently posted at, Silchar railway station and joined duty just 3-4 days ago from RPSF First Battalion headquarters in Lumding.
But the reason behind the step taken by Sanu Chauhan is unknown. Police has started investigation to determine the reason behind the step that taken by RPSF Jawan.
