Indian Cricket Player Ravichandran Ashwin Announced his retirement from all form of international cricket on the last day of third test against Australia Vs India.
He stated, “I won’t take too much of your time. Today will be the last day for me as an India cricketer in all format international level,” he said at the end of the third test in a joint press conference with captain Rohit Sharma.
He also said that, “I do feel that there’s a bit of punch left in me as a cricketer, but I would like to explore it and showcase that at club-level cricket. But this will be my last day. It’s been a lot of fun. I must say I’ve created a lot of memories with Rohit and several of my other teammates. Even though I have lost some of them over the last few years. We are the last bunch of OGs, if you can say that. Left out in the dressing room. And I will be marking this as my date of having played at this level.”
Rohit Sharma said, “He was very, very sure of his decision. We should stand by what he wants,” after Ashwin left the stage.

Ravichandran Ashwin
Indian Cricketer Ravichandra Ashwin is a greatest spinner of all time in Indian Cricket team. He is the second most successful Test bowler. He was born on September 17, 1986 in Madras (Chennai), Tamil Nadu. Ashwin was selected for the Indian Team in May 2010 that toured Zimbabwe for a tri-series.
Ashwin played his test debut in November, 2011 against West Indies. In the first test of the match of the series in Delhi he was awarded the man of the match. He made his debut in ODI against Sri Lanka on 5 June 2010, scoring a 32-ball 38 and taking 2/50 in that match but India lost. Ashwin assigned as the domestic player by Chennai Super Kings for the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008.
We will see Ashwin playing in IPL 2025, as Chennai Super King took Ashwin for Rs 9.05 Crore at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction in November.
