The Government of India has launched a scheme named Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana which aims to provide training to the unemployed youth in the country to get employment. This scheme has started under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi on 2016. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The objective of this Skill Certification scheme is to enable Indian youth to take up industry relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a program started by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It offers training in about 40 different areas to help young people gain skills. Through this program, many young people in India will receive online training from their homes. They will also attend practical courses through the Skill India Digital platform. During the training, each youth will receive ₹8000 per month.
The goal of this program is to train a large number of young people in India and help them find employment. It is open to young people who have completed their studies from 10th to 12th grade. Even if you are unemployed and haven’t finished your studies, you can still take part in practical courses through the Skill India Training Centre. All participating youth will receive ₹8000.
After completing the practical course, the youth will take a test, and if they pass, they will receive a certificate. This certificate can help them find job opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
