Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Visakhapatnam on International Yoga Day 2025.
Today, a large number of people have gathered on the beach in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The people gathered here to practice yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day. This year the theme of 11th International Yoga Day 2025 is Yoga for One Earth, One Health.
This special event will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will also be present.
Addressing the public here, he said, “When I look at the journey of yoga in the last decade, I remember many things. The day when India proposed in the United Nations that 21 June should be recognized as International Yoga Day and then in the shortest time 175 countries of the world stood with our proposal.” He further said that such support is not a normal event in today’s world. This was not just support for a proposal, it was a collective effort of the world for the welfare of humanity. Today, after 11 years, we are seeing that yoga has become a part of the lifestyle of crores of people around the world. I feel proud when I see that our Divyang friends study yoga scriptures. Scientists do yoga in space.
Narendra Modi Stated during International Yoga Day 2025 ‘Yoga gives us the direction of peace…’
Narendra Modi said, “When a person thinks about the society above his own interests, only then the entire humanity is benefited. Indian culture teaches us – Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, which means the welfare of all is my duty. The journey from I to We is the basis of service, dedication and co-existence. Unfortunately, today the whole world is going through some kind of tension. Unrest and instability is increasing in many areas. In such a situation, Yoga gives us the direction of peace.”
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Celebrate the International Yoga Day
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has celebrated the event in Baksa, where people gathered to perform Yoga. While after the celebration speaking to reporters he said, “Today, Yoga Day was celebrated in Assam.
