The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Has arrested a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Pakistan Intelligence officers. According to an official statement, the accused has been involved in spying activities since 2023 and was reportedly receiving funds from Pakistani operatives through multiple channels.
The CRPF personnel identified as Moti Ram Jat.

Details of the CRPF Arrest by NIA and Ongoing Interrogation
Moti Ram Jat arrested in Delhi and remanded to NIA custody until June 6 by the Special Court at Patiala House Courts. The agency is currently conducting detailed interrogations to uncover the extent of the espionage network and any additional involvement.
“The accused, Moti Ram Jat, was actively involved in espionage activity and had been sharing classified information related to national security with Pakistan Intelligence Officers (PIOs) since 2023,” the NIA said in its statement.
This arrest is part of a larger crackdown on espionage following heightened tensions and recent terror attacks in India. Over the past fortnight, authorities have detained at least 12 individuals across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh suspected of spying for Pakistan.

Among the arrested is YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who allegedly communicated with Pakistani Embassy official Ehsan-ur-Rahim (alias Danish), who was expelled from India earlier this month. Investigations suggest a growing spy network operating in northern India, with multiple YouTube channels under scrutiny.
