An MA Student has arrested for forging his High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) admit card to qualify for the police recruitment interview in Bajali, Assam. He allegedly changes his date of birth to appear younger, thereby qualifying for a police recruitment interview.
According to reports, the student, identified as Harunur Rashid, was accused of manipulating his date of birth to appear younger and meet the age criteria. Bajali police arrested Rashid after higher officials detected discrepancies in his documents. Rashid had appeared for the HSLC exam in 2011 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree at Harendra Chitra College. The altered documents were seized by the police as evidence.
He changes his birth date to qualify for the Assam Police recruitment exam, candidates must be under 25 years of age. He admitted to the forgery during police interrogation.
Bajali Police urged people to report any suspicious activities related to recruitment or document forgery. Authorities are committed to ensuring that all candidates are selected based on merit and eligibility, without any manipulation or fraud.
