On July 3, Guwahati Police launched an operation assisted by Guwahati West Special Operation Group (SOG) and arrested 4 individuals with huge amount of drugs.
According to information, last night Garchuk Police has arrested a youth named Simanta Kalita from the Betkuchi area, Guwahati for smuggling drugs. After searching him police recovered 11.42 gams of heroin from his possession and arrest him.
During interrogation by the police, the youth revealed to the officials that he had purchased all the drugs from a person named Hamida Bibi of Doloitola.
After that Police went to Doloitola in Kamrup district Hajo and arrested Hamida Bibi and two other who suspected to be involved in illegal items operations.
Police also launched operation in the residence of Hamida Bibi and recovered 187 viles full of heron, three kilograms cannabies, seven bottles of Codein cough syrup, a knife, an electronic wood planner, a stabilizer, 12 Android stolen mobile phone, 14 stolen keypad mobile and water pump. Additionally, police also recovered cash amount of Rs. 1,38,540.
The two woman identifies as Zulfiquar Ali and Runu Begum.
The Gang was taken to custody by the Guwahati Police. The arrested individual are now undergoing interrogation at the Garchuk Police Station.
