A harrowing incident occurred in Sonapur, four youth arrested for allegedly accused to prolonged sexual abuse of a 14 years old girl which led to pregnancy.
The incident came to light after his family noticed unusual changes in her physical condition and upon inquiry they known about the incident.
The girl was allegedly assaulted and threatened by the four accused over a long period. Her family discovered the ordeal after questioning her about her condition, revealing the abuse she had silently endured due to fear and shame.
After knowing about the incident, the family logged a complaint against the accused at Sonapur Police Station. Sonapur Police logged a case under Section 70 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 06 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police arrested four suspects Bikash Karmakar (19), Bishnu Kariya (19), Ravi Karmakar (20), and Ranjan Karmakar (19).
Sonapur police are investigating whether more people were involved in the crime.
Further investigation is going on.
