Earthquake today: Two earthquakes of 4.0 magnitude hit Delhi, Bihar

Two strong earthquake tremors jolted Delhi and Bihar today, February 17, no casualties have been reported.

According to National Center for Seismology, 4.0 magnitude of earthquake hit New Delhi on February 17, 2025, at 05:36 AM IST. The tremor occurred at a depth of 5 km, with coordinates 28.59°N latitude and 77.16°E longitude. The epicenter located near Durgabai Deshmukh College of Special Education in Daula Kauan official confirmed. No casualties have been reported so far.

The tremor caused panic among the residence of Delhi, with many of the people rushed out from the home.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, “Tremors were felt in Delhi and nearby areas. Urging everyone to stay calm and follow safety precautions, staying alert for possible aftershocks. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation.”

Another earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck Bihar at 08:02 AM IST. The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates 25.93°N latitude and 84.42°E longitude. No casualties have been reported so far.
