CID of Assam has successfully arrested two prominent figures involved in the YBY trading App Scam in Gohpur on Saturday night.
The suspect identified as Aniram Basumatary age 38 and Mithinga Narzary age 48, both are residents of Biswanath Chariali district, Assam.
The notorious scammers had been on the run after allegedly defrauding many people out of crores of rupees through the YBY trading app. They were finally caught in a night-time raid after a long search while hiding.
Both Aniram Basumatary age 38 and Mithinga Narzary are now in CID custody and will face questioning at the CID headquarters in Guwahati.
The investigation is still ongoing, aiming to reveal the full extent of their fraudulent activities and offer a deeper understanding of the YBY scam.
Assam’s Director General of Police, Gyanendra Pratap Singh, said on August 14, that the YBY Fund mobile app—central to a massive financial scam cheating many people across the state—is seriously violating guidelines from both the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Ministry of Finance.
