The man from Katigorah, Cachar, who was missing after slapped by a co-passenger on IndiGo Flight from Mumbai to Silchar via Kolkata, finally returned home on Sunday morning (August 3). The man Hasnul, also known as Hasan Ahmed Mazumder is a resident of Lathimara village in Katigorah, Cachar district.

His family accused IndiGo of negligence, claiming the airline failed to inform them after handing Hasnul over to CISF and West Bengal Police.

Hasnul Stated the media, “I boarded the flight at 2 AM. I was scared and sat beside the man who later slapped me. He said his name was Hafiz Uddin (Hafizur Rahman). I greeted him in a respectful way, but I was nervous, and without any reason, he slapped me 3–4 times. The cabin crew got angry at him and tried to calm me down by giving water.”

He also said that he never misbehaved with the accused. After getting off the flight in Kolkata, both were taken to Bidhannagar Police Station for questioning. Later, Hasnul was sent to a hospital for a check-up.

In between the time Hasnul missed the flight to Silchar. So, he had no choice but to walk around, looking for a train. He stated, “I finally got on one on Friday,” Hasnul shared. “Due to the slaps, my head still hurts, and I can’t get up from bed easily.”
