Authorities in Cachar are making extensive preparations for Bhuban Mela 2025, scheduled at Bhuban Hills in Cachar District on February 26, 2025. To ensure a safe and well-organized Maha Shivaratri celebration today February 15, held a high-level meeting. The meeting was held to finalize crucial arrangements related to infrastructure, crowd control, security and devotee welfare.
High-Level Meeting Chaired by Minister Kaushik Rai for preparation of Bhuban Mela 2025
The meeting was chaired by Shri Kaushik Rai, Minister of Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology, Mines & Minerals, and Barak Valley Development.
Key officials present included, Shri Nihar Ranjan Das, MLA, Dholai, Shri Mridul Yadav (IAS), District Commissioner, Shri Palve Vijay Trimbak (IFS), Divisional Forest Officer, Shri Pranab Kumar Borah (ACS), Chief Executive Officer, Cachar Zilla Parishad, Shri Yubaraj Boryhaker (ACS), Additional District Commissioner, Smti. Antara Sen (ACS), Additional District Commissioner. Shri Hemen Das (APS), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Representatives from Bhuban Valley Management Committee and other officials are also there.
Key Preparations and Arrangements For Bhuban Mela 2025 in Cachar
Drinking Water & Sanitation:
Water Supply: Ensure supply of pure and safe drinking water across the mela grounds .Eco-Friendly Toilets: Temporary toilets will be installed, prioritising hygiene and sustainability.
Traffic Management:
Dedicated routes and parking zones to minimise congestion.
Health care Services: Mobile medical units and 24 x 7 ambulance services, mirroring health protocols from large-scale spiritual events.
Road Conditions:
Immediate repairing of roads leading to Bhuban Hill for ensuring smooth travel for pilgrims .
Security & Crowd Control:
Foolproof Surveillance systems to manage crowds, alongside deployment of trained personnel for emergencies .
