An Azerbaijan Airlines Passenger Plane crash near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan on Wednesday the country’s emergency minister said.
The crash plane was carrying over 67 peoples with 62 passenger and five crew onboard, Kazakh authorities announced at least 24 passengers reported to be survived while 42 people feared dead.
The plane has been flying from Baku to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, Russia. “A plane doing the Baku-Grozny route crashed near the city of Aktau. It belongs to Azerbaijan Airlines,” Kazakhstan’s transport ministry said on Telegram.
“At the moment, 14 survivors have taken to the regional hospital, including five in intensive care,” the health ministry’s regional department said in a statement. The Emergencies Ministry reported that firefighters had successfully extinguished the blaze.
“According to preliminary information, there are 28 survivors of whom 22 have been hospitalised,” the ministry said on Telegram.

Azerbaijan Airlines’ Embraer 190 flight 8243, carrying 62 passengers and five crew members, had to make an emergency landing about 3 km (1.8 miles) from the Kazakh city of Aktau, reports said.
Kazakh authorities said they were investigating the cause of the incident, including the possibility of a technical issue.
Unauthorized Video visuals claiming to show the crash appeared on social media, showing a plane crashing and bursting into flames.
Other footage showed rescue workers near the wreckage, apparently trying to save survivors.
