At least 14 people died and several injured after a bus from India with full of passenger fall into a river in Nepal. The Indian registered bus was carrying 40 passengers, fall into the Marsyangdi River in the Tanahun district, Nepal. The bus accident took place some 110 kilometers from its destination in the capital of Kathmandu.
The bus was travelling from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh to Kathmandu via Pokhara, on the highway in Aaina Pahara, Tanahun district of Nepal.
A major rescue operation has been conducted at the accident site. A team of 45 A team 45 Armed Police Force personnel, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Madhav Paudel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School, has reached the accident site and begun rescue operation.
About 35 APF personal from number 23 Battalion, Bhanu, Tanahun are also involved in this rescue operation.
According to DSP Dipak Kumar, spokesperson of District Police Office in Tanahun, the fell into river at around 11:30 am today.
