Assam Railway Police Arrest Four Bangladeshi National in Bangaigaon

Assam Railway Police arrested four Bangladeshi national from New Bongaigaon Railway Station.

Based on confidential intelligence the arrest were made that led to targeted the operation. The individuals were arrested from lower Tripura Sundari train which arrived from Tripura.

Assam Railway Police comprises three young women and one man, who travelling illegally in Assam.

According to reports, that the young man has crossed Tripura border and paid Rs.25,000 to brokers to travel through the jungle into India. The three women also paid Rs.15,000 each to the same network of brokers. They mentioned they came to Assam looking for work because of the worsening situation in their home country. This incident is part of a larger trend, with a total of 11 Bangladeshi nationals recently entering Assam through Tripura.
