Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday announced that 3,000 educated youths from the state will be trained Japanese language to secure employment opportunities in Japan during press conference.
Addressing the press conference in Dibrugarh, CM Sarma stated that, “During Advantage Assam, three Japanese companies visited Assam and expressed interest in training our youths. And also they stated that they will trained Japanese language. So, we have decided that in the first phase, 3,000 youths will receive training in the Japanese language to get jobs in Japanese companies.”
“The training programme will cost between ₹3 lakh and ₹3.5 lakh. The state government will provide ₹1.5 lakh as support, and the remaining amount can be covered through bank loans. After that when our youths work in Japan, they will earn around ₹2.5 lakh per month.” Sarma stated.
He further added, “In the first phase, 3,000 students will be trained in the Japanese language. The youth who choose not to go to Japan they can work in India, as many Japanese companies operate here.”
“The Scheme has named the Chief Minister’s Foreign Language Initiative for Global Human Talent (CMFLIGHT) scheme. Under this scheme students will be trained in the Japanese language. This was discussed during Advantage Assam and approved in today’s cabinet meeting,” Sarma said.
“Every student undergoing this training will receive a scholarship of ₹1.5 lakh from the state government,” he added.
