Assam Police on August 31, seized 10,000 Yaba Tablet and arrested one individual in connection of it in Karimganj district, Assam.
Acting on secret inputs, the Karimganj Police launched an anti-narcotics operation in the area of in Chargola Bazar of Karimganj. From the area they arrested an individual and recovered and seized 10,000 Yaba from his possession.
Further investigation is going and the individual is under custody.
Taking to social media Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the police official for their relentless effort to make Assam free from drug. Assam CM Stated, “Based on credible input, @karimganjpolice conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Chargola Bazar today, apprehending an individual found in possession of 10,000 Yaba tablets. Kudos to @assampolice for their relentless efforts towards a #DrugFreeAssam.”
