Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 7, stated that upcoming Panchayat election in the state is expected to took place around the time of Bohag Bihu. The Final schedule of the election would be released by the end of March.
By Addressing about election he also state that class 11 exam will end by March 28, after that the schedule of Assam Panchayat Election will be released. He said the election process could extend into April, overlapping with the Bihu celebrations.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “The election process will begin after the announcement of dates, likely by the end of March. If the schedule is declared then, the elections may continue till late April. However, if the dates are announced in early April, the process could extend into May”.
