Ranveer Allahbadia has arrived at Guwahati on March 6, and is being questioned by Guwahati case in connection of controversial comments at the YouTube show India’s Got Latent.
According to reports, Ranveer Allahbadia on Friday at 12:30 pm appeared at Guwahati Crime Branch Office and is being interrogating by the police.
The controversy started after Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and others made offensive comments about parents and sex on the show. These offensive comments has been criticized by the people and many has filed FIR against them.
The Guwahati Police also filed an FIR against RanveerAllahbadia and others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and the Information Technology Act.
On Thursday he and Apoorva Mukhija appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) to apologize for their remarks. The Commission questioned them for several hours after taking the matter seriously.
Another YouTuber, Ashish Chanchlani, was also questioned by the Guwahati Crime Branch last week regarding the same show.
