A man named Hussain Ahmed Majumdar, resident of Latimara village in Katigorah, Cachar district of Assam, has mysteriously gone missing following a shocking mid-air altercation on an IndiGo flight. The incident occurred on July 31 during a flight from Mumbai to Silchar via Kolkata and has since gone viral on social media.
The disturbing video shows Hussain allegedly being slapped by a co-passenger during the journey, sparking widespread outrage. However, what followed has left both his family and the local community deeply shaken — Hussain never returned home and remains untraceable as of now.
Assam Man Family Devastated, Issues Public Appeal
According to Hussain’s family, he boarded the flight on July 31 and was scheduled to arrive in Silchar by 1 PM. But since then, there has been no contact from him.
“We are devastated. If anyone has seen or heard from my son, please contact us immediately,” said his father, Abdul Mannan Majumdar, in an emotional public appeal. The family has approached local police and authorities in Silchar, pleading for urgent action to locate him.

The viral footage shows a verbal spat escalating into a physical assault mid-flight. The video has triggered serious questions regarding airline safety protocols, and what exactly transpired once the flight landed.
IndiGo Airlines responded with an official statement:
“We are aware of an incident involving a physical altercation on board one of our flights. Such unruly behaviour is completely unacceptable and we strongly condemn any actions that compromise the safety and dignity of our passengers and crew. Our crew acted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. The individual involved was identified as unruly and handed over to security authorities upon arrival.
