A Government employee of Assam arrested by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-corruption for accepting bribe on June 21.
The arrested government employee identified as Adhir Das, an employee of Sub-Registrar’s office in Kaliabor. An Anti-corruption team conducted the operation after a complaints of bribery and misconduct filed.
The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption branch has confirmed the arrest and stated the arrest isa part of on ongoing crackdown on corruption within public service department.
According to sources, Das has allegedly demanded the bribe money in exchange of processing official documents.
