Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam today April 5, arrested a forest officer for accepting demanded bribe.
The Forest officer identified as Aminur Rahman, Forester Grade-I, O/o Kurua Forest Range, Darrang. According to resources, Forester Gr Rahman demanded RS 30,000 from tractor and dumper owners per month, claiming it was for land excavation.

Rahman caught red handed after he after he accepted Rs. 5000/- bribe from the complainant in lieu of allowing hindrance free earth carrying business.
Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam stated, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM caught red handed Aminur Rahman, Forester Grade-I, O/o Kurua Forest Range, Darrang after he accepted Rs. 5000/- bribe from the complainant in lieu of allowing hindrance free earth carrying business.”
