Three police personnel have been arrested from Panigaon Police Station in Lakhimpur under bribery case.
According to sources, the police personal arrested after accepting bribe during duty time. The arrested police personnel identified as Constable Hiranya Kumar Patgiri and two home guards Dilip Kalita and Dipak Mili.
As per reports, the three police personnel allegedly accepted Rs 21,000 bribe from an individual named Rajkumar Doley. Rajkumar Doley had accused of being involved in cattle smuggling.
Following these findings, Satyajit Borah, the former Officer-in-Charge of Panigaon Police Station, has been suspended. Sub-Inspector Khiroda Saikia has also been suspended for their alleged involvement in the case.
