Saket Court of Delhi has issued summons to Famous YouTuber Dhruv Rathee in a defamation suit that filed by a BJP leader Mumbai Spokesperson Suresh Karamshi Nakhua.
Suresh Karamshi Nakhua alleged that Dhruv Rathee referred to him as a violent and abusive troll in his YouTube channel video titled โMy Reply to Godi Youtubers| Elvish Yadav which uploaded. This video got more than 24 million views and it increasing rapidly day by day.
The district judge Gunjan Gupta passed an order on July 19, 2024 issued summons to Dhruv Rathee and social media intermediaries for August 6.
Suresh Karamshi Nakhua sought Rs.20 Lakh from Rathee for defamation caused to him on internet.
The court ordered, โIssue summons of the suit and notice of the application u/o 39 Rule 1 and 2 CPC to the defendants, subject to steps by all modes i.e. PF & RC/Speed Post/ Approved Courier including electronic mode for 06.08.2024.โ
Suresh Karamshi Nakhua stated that Dhruv Rathee claimed that Narendra Modi had hosted โviolent and abusive trolls like Ankit Jain, Suresh Nakhua, and Tajinder Baggaโ at his official residence.
As a result Dhruv Ratheeโs defamatory statements in the said video, Nakhua’s reputation has been severely damaged. The false accusations which made by Rathee have led to widespread condemnation and ridicule of the leader, causing irreparable harm to his personal and professional life.
