A Woman in Guwahati narrowly escaped an attempt murder by her extramarital lover near Dispur Police Station on December 29. This incident took place just 72 hours after a stabbing incident took place in Guwahati.
According to information, the woman was three years affair with a man named Rajesh Deb was waiting near police station with a knife in hand and reportedly planning to assault the woman.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Rajesh Dev previously married to two woman and is a father of four children, which raised question about his motives and action leading to the incident.
Rajesh Deb had been blackmailing the woman, threatening to release a private video of her, while planning to have relationships with multiple women. Six months ago, he attacked her with a cleaver, and today, he was found near Dispur Police Station armed with a knife.
Speaking to media the victim woman stated, “After I found out he was married twice, I tried to end the relationship, but he forced me to stay with him for three years by blackmailing me. He threatened to make a private video of mine go viral. Earlier, he attacked me with a cleaver, and today he came to kill me with a knife. He lives in Pandu, Guwahati, but I don’t know his actual address. He also has two children with his two wives.”
Police now investigating the matter.
