On June 6, a dead body of a middle aged woman was found in Baghjan, Tinsukia district of Assam, this morning. It has been suspected that before killing the woman she have been raped and her body disposed.
The incident has sparked the society and concern about the local community. The deceased, identified by local residents as wife of a man named Suring. The dead was found near Baghjan EPS, Tinsukia.
The dead body was discovered by a locals who went for fishing in nearby pond in the morning hours. After discovering the body the locals called the police. The locals suspected that deceased has raped and murdered.
The Baghjan Police and Guijan Police reached at the scene after the locals reports about the incident. Police stated that, “The investigation is going on into incident.”
The locals are calling a strict investigation and justice for woman. They also urged the officials for safe alternatives to prevent such incident near future.
