In Late night anti-narcotics operation, a woman from Agartala arrested with huge amount of heroin worth Approximately Rs.57 Lakh on July 11 in Cachar.
Acting on tip-off, Cachar police intercepted a woman. After operation her bag and other things police managed to recovered 10 soap cased containing 114 grams of heroin. Police arrested her in Arunachal Junction. The woman identified as Pranati Das, wife of Chandan Das, a resident of Pratapgarh, Agartala.
The seized contraband was confiscated in the presence of independent witnesses, and the entire operation was documented on video as part of the official evidence. A preliminary test conducted with a drug detection kit confirmed the substance to be heroin.
According to police estimates, the seized heroin has a black market value of approximately ₹57 lakh. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to trace the origins of the supply and identify potential links to interstate drug trafficking networks.
