On Thursday morning, major fire broke out at a private hospital located in Jagadamba Junction, Vishakhapatnam city, Andhra Pradesh. The authorities quickly response therefore, they safely managed to evacuate the trapped patients. No casualties has reported so far.
The name of the private hospital identified as Indus Hospital in Vishakhapatnam where Fire broke out. The fire originated in the second floor of the hospital. It has been suspected that the fire have started in one of the operation theatres, eventually enveloping other areas in thick smoke.
Police and fire services personnel promptly arrived at the Vishakhapatnam Fire incident place. Which orchestrated the evacuation of patients, who were then shifted to nearby hospitals. City Police Commissioner Dr. A Ravishankar personally oversaw the rescue operations.
“The fire has been brought under control, but the lingering smoke is yet to dissipate. All patients have been successfully transferred to nearby medical facilities, and thankfully, no casualties have been reported,” stated Commissioner Ravishankar.
The seven patients who was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs)were safely relocated to ensure their well-being.

Commissioner of Police Ravi Shankar Ayyanar provided further details, stating, “The fire erupted at Indus Hospital in Visakhapatnam around noon, with approximately 50-70 patients present at the time. The evacuation process was swift, and there have been no casualties. The initial findings suggest the fire originated in the operation theatre, and a thorough investigation will uncover the truth.”
