The Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Operation is going on to save the 41 workers. Who were trapped during the work in tunnel when it collapsed on 12th November. The drilling work is going on from the Silkyara tunnel side, using the America-augur machine. But the machine faced yet faced another technical snag late on Thursday night after the platform on which the equipment is mounted developed cracks.
Now the platform has fixed but the process of cutting has already injected pipe to ease off pressure at its mouth is underway. The former PMO Advisor Bhakar Khulbe Told on Friday.
He also said that the rescue team worked on two fronts to fix the platform. Adding to this he said that the drilling work expected to resume at 11.30 am.
Before the technical problem the rescuers drilled up to 46.8 meter. Only 14 meters left to reach the trapped workers.
To achieved the smooth formation pipeline the rescuers will use three pipes. One of the pipes was injected on 23 November. The pipes has injected to create the passage for the workers as they can come out from the situation.
The former PMO Advisor said, โOur study of ground pipes revealed that there is no metal presence beyond the next 5 meters.โ

Some latest update of Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Operation
A drone which used in the rescue operation, can go inside the tunnel and to GPS-denied areas. Cyriac Josph MD & CEO, Squadrone Infra Mining Private Limited said via news agency ANI. He also said that the drone is one of the latest technologies, it also can goes autonomous inaccessible areas.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has stayed last night in Uttarkashi to monitor the rescue operation in Silkyara Tunnel. He has set up his temporary office in that location from here he does his daily work.
The chief of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Atul Karwal, said that his team is fully prepared for the rescue operation. They have practiced how to safely evacuate people. And also they have made arrangements to use stretchers with wheels to bring individuals out one by one.
The rescuers had considered having the workers crawl out on their own, but the challenging conditions of being under debris for 12 days without natural light and proper meals could affect their health. So, the plan is for the NDRF personnel to pull stretchers, on which the workers will lie down, using a rope. The tunnel entrance will be cleaned to ensure a smooth movement of stretchers without any obstacles.
A total of 41 Ambulances have deployed at the Uttarkashi tunnel site. Among this 31 have been provided by operation 108 ambulance and 10 deployed by the state administration.
