An unidentified dead body found lying on the road in the area of Chilarai Nagar of Bangagarh, Guwahati, under suspicious on Saturday morning.
The police suspected that the victim might be murdered and body was abandoned by unidentified assailants. It has said that the dead body’s face was frothing, indicating possible poisoning or suffocating.
Late at night, residents in the area, known for its association with illicit activities, reported hearing unusual disturbances.
After receiving the information of the dead body police immediately arrived at the scene and recovered body and sent for post mortem examination.
Police launched an investigation into the gruesome incident. CID team and forensic experts arrived at the scene.
