TV Actor Shefali Jariwala, famous for Kaanta Laga and Bigg Boss 13 died at 42, reportedly due to cardiac arrest late at Friday night.
Shefali Jariwala ’s husband actor Parag Tyagi rushed her to the hospital, where she were declared dead by the doctor. After that her dead body was taken to Cooper hospital at around 12:30 am for post mortem.
According to initial reports, the actor rushed to the Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital at the midnight by her husband and three others after she suffered cardiac arrest. Later the doctor of the hospital declared dead.
According to the Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) at Cooper Hospital, her body was brought in from another hospital. The cause of death remains unclear at this stage.
Mumbai Police and a forensic team visited Shefali’s residence late at night and conducted a detailed investigation. While no official statement has been released yet, the involvement of forensic experts suggests that the case is being treated as suspicious.
Shefali gained nationwide fame with Kaanta Laga and later acted in the Bollywood movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. She also featured in the web series Baby Come Naa and participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye and Boogie Woogie.
Mumbai Police stated, Cause of Death Still Unknown, Investigating
The exact cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, according to Mumbai Police. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Initial reports claimed that Shefali may have suffered a cardiac arrest. However, police stated that she was found unresponsive at her residence in Andheri around 1 AM. A team from the Forensics Department also visited her home for further investigation.
