On Thursday morning, 4.4 magnitude of earthquake hit Haryana, also strong tremors felt in Delhi-NCR the national capital Region. The tremors of earthquake hit at around 9:04 am and lasted for few minutes.
According to National Center for Seismology, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.4, Occured on: 10/07/2025 09:04:50 IST, Lat: 28.63 N, Long: 76.68 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Jhajjar, Haryana.”

Delhi police informed that their no reports of damaged after the earthquake. They stated through X, “No reports of any damage have been received so far from the earthquake that struck Delhi NCR this morning. We pray for the well-being of all Delhi residents.”
Tremors were felt across several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR), including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. In Haryana, the quake was experienced in Sonipat, Rohtak, and Hisar.
The earthquake occurred just a day after heavy rainfall lashed Delhi-NCR on Wednesday, causing widespread waterlogging and traffic disruptions. The downpour followed several days of oppressive heat and humidity across the region.
Delhi is located in Seismic Zone IV, a region classified as moderately prone to earthquakes on India’s seismic map. The capital frequently experiences tremors from seismic activity originating in the Himalayan region, as well as parts of Afghanistan and China.
