Jammu and Kashmir: In an encounter today (May13), three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir by security forces. The security force has launched operation in the Forest of Keller, senior police stated.

Following intelligence input, Army and paramilitary forces jointly launched operation to traced the terrorist in the forest, which result exchange of fire. In this fighting security encounter three terrorist.

Today’s operation began early in the morning, but it remains unclear whether the suspected terrorists hiding in the forests of Shopian are linked to the Pahalgam killings.

The armed forces have been conducting combing operations in the forests of South Kashmir and Kishtwar since the April 22 terror attacks in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead and several others injured.

This follows Operation Sindoor, India’s counteroffensive in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 innocent lives taken. As part of the operation, India launched airstrikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Nine Terrorist camp destroyed in this air strike. The government has issued a stern warning, declaring that any future terror attack will treated as an act of war and will invite a strong and decisive response.

Jammu and Kashmir encounter: PM Modi on Operation Sindoor

In his address to the nation yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Operation Sindoor has set a new benchmark in India’s counter-terrorism strategy and established a “new normal” in how the country will respond to such threats.

1. Terror Attacks Will Met With a Strong Response

PM Modi said that if there is a terror attack on India, the country will respond firmly and on its own terms. He stated, “First, if there is a terrorist attack on India, a fitting reply will be given. We will give a befitting response on our terms only. We will take strict action at every place from where the roots of terrorism emerge.”

2. No Tolerance for Nuclear Threats

He stated clearly that India will not be intimidated by nuclear blackmail. He stated, “Secondly, India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. India will strike precisely and decisively at the terrorist hideouts developing under the cover of nuclear blackmail.”

3. No Difference Between Terror Groups and Their Sponsors

The Prime Minister said India will not distinguish between terrorist masterminds and the governments supporting them. He stated, “Thirdly, we will not differentiate between the government sponsoring terrorism and the masterminds of terrorism.”

He pointed to evidence of Pakistan’s involvement, mentioning that top Pakistani army officers attended funerals of the slain terrorists—a clear sign of state-sponsored terrorism.

PM Modi concluded by saying India will continue to take strong and decisive steps to protect its citizens and ensure the nation’s security against any form of threat. He stated, “We will continue to take decisive steps to protect India and our citizens from any threat.”
